Make Poverty History Resources for Teachers
Over the past several months most students have heard of the Make Poverty History Campaign. From rock star endorsers like Bono and the Barenaked Ladies to individuals around the world who choose to wear the campaign’s white wristband, people have been speaking out.

In an effort to assist teachers of all kinds in presenting information on this complex topic, the current edition of the WorldBeat Global Education Resource E-zine provides lesson plans and activities with global poverty themes, as well as information about more resources and opportunities for taking part in the Make Poverty History Campaign.

SCIC has also compiled a Make Poverty History Resource Package for teachers (including some posters, wristbands, barrier tape, web-based lesson plan ideas and some video clips on CD Rom), which is available for $10. Find more information at www.earthbeat.sk.ca/worldbeat.
